The Southern Nevada Chapter of CATESOL is a nonprofit organization open to anyone concerned with the teaching of English as a second or foreign language, standard English as a second dialect, or bilingual education whose members include classroom teachers, instructors in teacher training programs, university students, aides, and administrators in Southern Nevada. It promotes professional competence and professional standards in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages, monitors educational policy, and represents the needs of ESL teachers and students to decision-making bodies such as the Clark County school district and the Nevada state legislature.
